POL 500 - Directed Study in Political Science

Study in depth of some aspect of Political Science under the direction of a member of the Department. Research paper required. Student must first present a proposal at a Departmental meeting. A total of six hours may be taken only in exceptional cases and with the approval of the Department. See POL 520 for combined total of Directed Study and Internship. This course, while it counts in the major, must be taken above and beyond the required 36 hours. It is highly recommended for Political Science majors wishing to go on to Graduate School. Prerequisites: Open only to Junior and Senior Political Science majors. Occasional exceptions with the approval of the Department Chairperson.
