SOC 342 - Principles of Criminology3 Credit(s) DIII The development of theories of criminality; extent and typology of crime in the United States. Changing attitudes toward the criminal and their effects upon the field of corrections; the effects of social change upon the climate of violence in society. Three lecture hours per week. Open only to Juniors and Seniors. Prerequisite: SOC 201 or permission of Department Chairperson.
