GPH 484P - Physical Climatology3 Credit(s) DII This course provides an introduction to the study of atmospheric processes near the ground. Emphasis is on flows of energy and matter between the earth’s soil, water, vegetative, and human-built surfaces and the atmosphere. The course illustrates the role of the atmosphere in the environmental sciences and its applications in geography, agriculture, forestry, ecology, engineering, and planning. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for GGR334P. Prerequisites: GPH 100P or GPH 101P or GGR100P or GGR101P and GPH 102P or GGR102P or GLS 100 and Basic College Math Competency, or permission of the Department Chairperson.
