HST 242 - History of Japan3 Credit(s) DIII V This course provides a general historical coverage of Japan. It discusses Japanese political changes, economic development, and cultural transformation. The course searches for answers to the fundamental questions regarding the essence of the Japanese society. In a time when the roads are filled with Japanese cars, it is also necessary to understand the people who contribute to making Japan an important country in both Asia and the world. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for HIS385.
