HST 280 - History of Eastern Europe Since 19143 Credit(s) DIII This course surveys Eastern Europe since WWI. The origins of Eastern Europe as a region, nationalism, Habsburg and Ottoman imperial dissolution, state formation, interwar crises, Nazi occupation and wartime resistance, Soviet domination and collapse, and the problems of post-socialism are the course’s primary contours. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for HIS394.
