HST 443 - Twentieth Century European Women’s History3 Credit(s) DIII The history of twentieth-century European women takes a chronological as well as thematic approach. The course will begin by looking at “the nationalization of women” -the efforts by various nations to construct their own definitions of womanhood, often during times of war. Other themes include images of women, poverty and women, law and women, and feminist movements. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for HIS348 or HIS348A.
