EDU 335 - Secondary School Curriculum Materials and Methods-English (9-12) (Pre-Practicum)

This course surveys a general study of the background and philosophies of teaching English, focuses on methods and materials in the classroom, investigates curriculum issues and professional concerns, analyzes the teaching/learning processes, and responds to social, political, and cultural issues of concern to the NCTE. Pre-practicum field experience. Three lecture hours per week with integrated field experience. Prerequisites: Permission of the English Department Chairperson, and acceptance into Secondary Licensure Program.
