PHS 212A - College Physics II 4 Credit(s) DII Continuation of PHS 211A . This course examines additional topics in classical physics, including fluid dynamics; thermal properties of matter, the laws of thermodynamics; principles of electricity and magnetism; D.C. circuits, electromagnetic induction. A strong emphasis on problem solving skills, in which algebra, geometry and elementary trigonometry are used freely. Three lecture hours, one discussion period and one three-hour laboratory period per week. Emphasizes biological science applications. Not open to students who have received credit for PHS212. Prerequisites: MAT202N or equivalent and PHS 211A or PHS 222 .
