PHS 312 - Modern Physics 4 Credit(s) Introduction to the major developments in physics during the 20th Century. Topics include blackbody radiation and Planck’s constant; the photoelectric effect, development of quantum theory, the structure of matter; particle physics and cosmology. Three lecture hours, one discussion period, and one three-hour laboratory per week. Prerequisites: PHS 311 and MAT 221 .
