SOC 347 - Social Inequality: Race, Class and Gender 3 Credit(s) A study of the three major elements of inequality found in U.S. society-their origins, the extent to which they are found in social, political, and economic institutions, their consequences for individuals and groups affected as well as for society as a whole. Social policy issues such as Affirmative Action, anti-poverty programs, etc. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisite: SOC 201 or permission of Department Chairperson.
