SWK 703 - Contemporary Social Welfare Policy & Services

3 Credit(s) This course provides a basis for the professional social worker’s formulation and analysis of social welfare policy and services with special emphasis on the differential impacts these policies have on people with low income, people of color, women, children, and older adults. Major goal is to familiarize students with key principles of social policy analysis while also engaging them in processes involved in policy making, implementation, and evaluation of public policies and programs.
Prerequisite: SWK 702 .
