HST 447 - Reformation and Counter-reformation Europe3 Credit(s) DIII The course assesses the scope and impact of the sixteenth-century Reformations, both Protestant and Catholic, from the roots of reform in the late medieval era through the seventeenth century. Theologies and church structures emerging in this period will be examined, as will their cumulative impact on the individual household, community, and state. Three lecture hours per week.
