MGT 301 - Employment Law for Business3 Credit(s) This course examines modern workplace issues and introduces students to the major employment laws regulating employer and employee conduct. Students will become acquainted with federal and state statutes as well as leading court and agency decisions. Topics covered in the course include: the at-will employment relationship; discrimination in employment, drug and alcohol testing; fair labor standards; safety and health; workers compensation; labor laws. Three lecture hours per week. Limited to junior and senior students. Prerequisites: BUS 252 and either MGT 231 or MGT 332 .
