PSY 216 - Introduction to Social Psychology3 Credit(s) DIII This course is an introduction to theory and research in social psychology, the scientific study of how people’s thoughts, perceptions, feelings, and behavior are affected by others. Topics include perception of the self and others, attitudes and persuasion, conformity, compliance and obedience, altruism, aggression, social influence and group decision-making. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credits for PSY250. Prerequisite: PSY 101 .
