                  SOC 348 - Hispanic Groups in the U.S.3 Credit(s)    DIII    The culture, social structure and institutions of the major groups of Hispanic origin currently found in the U.S. (Puerto Ricans, Cuban-Americans, Mexican-Americans and others). The relationship of these groups to American society as a whole. Contemporary issues such as discrimination, bilingual/bicultural education, undocumented aliens and immigration legislation. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisite:  SOC  201   or permission of Department Chairperson.
