CRJ 800A - Theories of Crime3 Credit(s) This course provides students with an understanding of the major theories of crime causation developed over the last three centuries. Special attention is devoted to issues related to the measurement of crime and what can be discerned from the available empirical data about the nature and extent of crime. In addition, explanations of various crime types such as violent and white-collar crime are highlighted and discussed.
