HST 901 - Modern Latin America3 Credit(s) Political, economic and social development of Latin America in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, including problems of economic development, dependency, and poverty and inequality; different forms of social movements, rebellion and revolution; race, gender and ethnicity; U.S.-Latin America relations; and literary and intellectual movements including dependency theory, liberation theology, magical realism, and testimonial literature.
Not open to students who have received credit for HIS 731R.
