MAT 740 - Computer Applications in Mathematics I3 Credit(s) The FORTRAN language is introduced and used to illustrate computer methods in Calculus, Number Theory, Algebra, Statistics and Economics. Attention is paid to machine accuracy, error estimation and multiple-precision arithmetic. Assignments include the coding and running of programs in the Computer Laboratory. No previous computer experience required.
