HST 815 - Puritanism and the Founding of New England

This course examines the role of Puritanism in the early development of New England. It explores the origins of Puritan belief and practice and its adaptation in a New World environment, and examines topics such as interactions with Native Americans, the evolution of congregationalism, and political, economic, and cultural development.
