ARA 301 Advanced Arabic I 3 Credit(s) This course is a continuation of Intermediate Arabic II (ARA202) and is designed to further develop proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic in the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The course will focus on the ability to communicate overall meaning clearly and with some ease. Students will be able to narrate, to describe, and to express themselves in most day-to-day uncomplicated situations, as well as in some more formal or professional situations. Students in the course will expand their vocabulary and practice using a variety of verb tenses when speaking and writing. Student will also learn about a variety of cultures where Arabic is spoken and read authentic texts in Arabic. Prerequisite: ARA202 or equivalent background in Arabic
