GPH 229 Geography of the Caribbean and Middle America 3 Credit(s) DIII V WC This course explores the physical and cultural environment in Latin America and the Caribbean. It will examine the rich heritage of the regions’ inhabitants, their cultural, economic and political life and the effects of climate and geomorphology on their culture. Students will also explore the cultural heritage and diversity of this region, and the region’s role in the global economy. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for GGR229.
