POL 110H Honors Understanding the Political World 3 Credit(s) DIII CS Concentrated study of topics in Political Science introducing qualified students to central concepts, structures, and processes of politics and government. Course topics may include: democracy in America, globalization, ethnic conflict, social justice, etc. The seminar format will emphasize critical analysis of assigned readings, extensive student participation in class discussions, and engagement in various forms of written reflection. Three seminar hours per week. Prerequisite: Honors Program student; or, Political Science major or minor with the permission of the department chairperson.
