EEC 302 Integrating Mathematics and Science in Early Childhood 3 Credit(s) This course introduces students to an inquiry-based approach to teaching science and mathematics to young learners by engaging children in hands-on investigation of their world. Emphasis will be on learning how students construct an understanding of math and science concepts and how to design developmentally appropriate lessons and integrated units. Required of students enrolled in the B.S. in Early Education and Care. Field-based assignments are required. Prerequisite: EEC 105 or Permission of the Department Chairperson. Co-requisite: EEC 304 .
