AGS 734 - Leading Professional Learning3 Credit(s) Ongoing professional learning drives school improvement, transformation, and ultimately student learning. As informal and formal leaders, participants in this course will consider the research and tenets supporting effective professional learning: adult development theory, action space theory, and research-based professional learning mechanisms (e.g., coaching, cycles of inquiry, professional learning communities). Participants will use current research, simulations and class discussions to understand and design practical and effective professional learning experiences for colleagues Three lecture hours per week.
