SMS 274 Introduction to Recreational Therapy 3.0 Credit(s) W-II This course introduces students to the nature and function of recreation therapy in a variety of agencies and settings. Overview of the physical, cognitive, affective and social characteristics of a variety of individuals with the special needs with emphasis on planning and adapting recreation programs both in clinical and community/inclusive settings. Participation in fieldwork is required. Three lecture hours per week.
Prerequisite: Level I Written Communication course.
