WLC 322 Introduction to Teaching World Languages 3 Credit(s) This course will provide an overview of the history and current methods of teaching world languages. Important resources will be presented to outline best practices in planning, teaching, assessment. Topics will revolve around creating an engaging communicative and culturally-based classroom environment, and a 10 hour observation experience at an area school will be required. This course is intended for World Languages and Cultures majors or minors who wish to explore the idea of using their language skills to teach in the future; it is not part of the Spanish licensure track of the department and does not replace SPN388A, SPN389, EDC782, and/or EDC783. Conducted in English with examples in other languages. Three lecture hours per week.
