SMS 270A Recreation Today: Creating Change and Building Community

Recreation is transformative and is important to our quality of life. This course introduces the student to the history of recreation management while also examining the physical, psychological, social and economic impact of recreation on both the individual and society. Three lecture hours per week. Field trips may be required.  This course satisfies the Contemporary Society general core category.
