SMS 375 Park Management and Planning

The creation of National and State Parks and the conservation of our natural resources is one of America’s major contributions to the world.  The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of management, planning, and operation of park resources, including the management of visitors and recreation development. Issues surrounding competing uses, public involvement, and the preservation and conservation of resources will be studied in detail. Three lecture hours per week.
