FIN 459 Capstone Course in Financial Planning 3 Credit(s) Students will integrate key financial planning concepts, including retirement planning, investment planning, retirement and employee benefits planning, risk management and insurance planning, income tax planning, and estate planning to develop a comprehensive financial plan. Students will learn how to construct such a plan according to industry practice standards and client objectives. The primary pedagogy is through case studies. Students will work individually or in teams to develop solutions to realistic situations described in cases and present their recommendations. Three lecture hours per week plus work outside of class.
Prerequisites: FIN452, FIN453, FIN457, FIN458, ACC106, BUS252, & ECO201
