ATR 808 - Seminar in Athletic Training I1 Credit(s) This course focuses on advanced clinical decision making in the areas of prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Through the use of problem-based learning, discussion, and case studies the student will integrate previously learned athletic training knowledge and skills to make sound clinical decisions. Emphasis will be placed on the use of disablement models and clinical outcome assessments to facilitate evidence-based athletic training practice. This course also serves as a preparatory review for the Athletic Training Board of Certification Examination. Limited to students enrolled in the Master of Science in Athletic Training program.
