The accounting and finance department provides students with a broad range of courses to prepare them for successful careers in finance and accounting. The curriculum of the department (within the AACSB accredited Bertolon School of Business) includes courses in financial planning and analysis, investment and security analysis, international finance, corporate finance, accounting, auditing theory and practice, taxation, forensic accounting, and accounting information systems. At the undergraduate level, students can choose to concentrate in one of four areas: accounting, finance, financial planning, or corporate finance and accounting. The department also offers a minor in accounting, and both undergraduate and graduate accounting certificates. At the graduate level students may pursue a Master of Science in accounting degree which includes a 4+1 option for an accelerated program to earn both, undergraduate degree and graduate degree in five years.
