The minor in Secondary Education from the Mathematics Department leads to achieving initial licensure. To earn a minor in Secondary Education from the Mathematics Department, a student must do all of the following:

The following are required electives for mathematics majors who minor in secondary education. 3. Successfully complete all Education and Support Course Requirements:
Education Component (27 credits total)
All Secondary Education students will take the following four education courses: Pre-Practicum Methods Course (3 credits)
Student Teaching Practicum and Seminar (12 Credits)
American Government and Psychology Support Courses (6 credits)
