Note: Students in the Middle School Subject Area Teacher Licensure Program must complete a second major in the Arts or Sciences that is appropriate for one of the three licensure areas: Humanities, Math/Science or Mathematics Students not seeking licensure may elect a minor or free electives–see note below. An Arts or Science minor is required for nonlicensure majors.

Additional Information and Notes
* These are required support courses which may also be used to satisfy the indicated Distribution requirements. A student may choose to fulfill Distribution requirements with courses other than the ones listed, but these listed courses must still be taken.
Note: If a course is used to satisfy two or more requirements, (for example, a support course and a distribution elective), the credits are counted in only one place. Using a course to satisfy more than one requirement does not reduce the total credits required for graduation.

Second major options for Humanities licensure: American Studies, English, or History.
Second major options for Math/Science licensure: Biology, Chemistry, Geological Sciences, or Mathematics.
Mathematics licensure requires a second major in Mathematics.
‡ Students in the Middle School Subject Area Teacher Licensure Program must complete EDU 438 for Licensure.
Exceptions in the timing of courses will be made for transfer students.
