Secondary Education Minor

Admission to the Secondary Education minor requires the completion of requirements previously described under “Licensure Program Requirements” in the School of Education information. Secondary Education minors must also complete the series of courses below, many of which include pre-practicum fieldwork in school settings.

Education Component (27 credits total)
All Secondary Education students will take the following four education courses: Pre-Practicum Methods Courses (3 credits)
Students will choose the course appropriate to their content area below: Student Teaching Practicum and Seminar (12 Credits)
American Government and Psychology Support Courses (6 credits)
Additional Information and Notes
While the above courses are generally applicable to all academic departments, students are advised to consult their major departments for individual variations. The College of Arts and Sciences departments mentioned above have designated faculty coordinators for the Secondary Education minor. |
