The Geological Sciences minor provides inquiry-based training for any student who has an interest in how Earth works. This minor is very relevant for students pursuing careers in the sustainability environmental and conservation fields and for those interested in acquiring an expertise in the Geological Sciences.

Minor Requirements (15-18 credits)

Minors take at least one of the following introductory courses (4 credits):
GLS 100 Dynamic Earth
GLS 101 Exploring Earth
GLS 102 Evolving Earth
GLS 103 The Blue Planet
GLS 109 Water Sustainability
GLS 170H Honors Dynamic Earth
GLS 171H Honors Evolving Earth
Minors take at least one of the following courses (3-4 credits)
GLS 210 Geomorphology
GLS 216 Rocks and Minerals
GLS 334 Sedimentary Environments and the Stratigraphic Record
GLS 341 Structural Geology
