ART 337 Non-representational Painting

An introduction to the basic methods of non-representational painting. This course emphasizes the use of oil paint as a medium for rendering the fundamentals of visual experience through the formal elements without descriptive subject matter. Required of Art majors in the Painting concentration. 2-Dimensional Studio elective. Four and one half scheduled studio hours plus four and one half open studio hours per week.
