GPH 301 Introduction to Quantitative Geography 3 Credit(s) DII Q This course provides an introduction to probability, statistics and spatial analysis techniques used in geographic research and in analysis of data in geographic information systems. The course includes: the meaning and significance of numerical data, the analysis of central tendency and variance, sampling, data distributions, point and area spatial measurement and models, inferential statistics, correlation and regression. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for GGR206.
