HST 101 World History I 3 Credit(s) DIII V A systematic study of the major patterns of global history from its origins through the early modern period. Analyzes the distinguishing characteristics of the world’s major pre-modern civilizations and the relationships and points of cultural exchange among them. Examines the historical roots of many of the world’s diverse cultural traditions. This course develops critical thinking, writing and analytical skills. Three lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for HIS101.
