SOC 202H Introduction to Sociology-Honors 3 Credit(s) CS This course introduces sociology as the study of human beings in society. The student considers human beings and their cultures as revealed in their customs and institutions. The classroom approach combines theory and research with current literature to provide a concrete, reality-oriented foundation for the study of sociology. This course will consider social problems, including racism and sexism in America and other societies, to enable the student to see practical applications of sociological principles. Three lecture hours per week. Open only to students in the Honors Program and Sociology majors with a 3.0 grade point average.
