ATR 808 - Clinical Decision Making1 Credit(s) This course focuses on advanced clinical decision making in the areas of prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Through the use of problem-based learning, discussion, and case studies the student will integrate previously learned athletic training knowledge and skills to make sound clinical decisions. Emphasis will be placed on the use of disablement models and clinical outcome assessments to facilitate evidence-based athletic training practice. This course also serves as a preparatory review for the Athletic Training Board of Certification Examination. One (1) lecture hour per week. This course is open only to and required of students enrolled in the Athletic Training master’s degree program.
Pre-requisites: ATR 700 , ATR 702 , ATR 704 , ATR 706 , ATR 708 , ATR 710 , ATR 712 , ATR 714 , ATR 716 , ATR 718 , ATR 720 .
