MGT 349 Management of Diversity 3 Credit(s) DPDS Using a theoretical and practical framework, this course prepares students to enter an increasingly broad workplace in which diversity, in the larger context of power dynamics and social justice, not only must be accepted, but also understood, encouraged, and leveraged. Using assigned course readings, real-world cases, online research, and challenging exercises, students will learn about diversity in race, ethnicity, sex and gender, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, religion, age, or socio-economic status, learn to consider ethical management decisions from multiple perspectives, and promote management practices associated with inclusion, equity, and social justice in the workplace.
