EEC 302 Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math Curriculum and Pedagogy in Early Childhood

This course is designed for candidates who work with children aged 0-8. The course focuses on instructional methods for facilitating exploration of concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) in a hands-on and developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate manner. Candidates will learn to design and implement developmentally-appropriate, inquiry and play-based, standards-based learning experiences and assessments. The course consists of three lecture hours per week, and field-based assignments are a mandatory part of the curriculum.
