MCO 330 UX Research in Digital Media and Communication 3 Credit(s) CS W-II UX (user experience) researchers help brands develop well-designed, user-friendly, easy-to-use digital products for diverse audiences. In this course, through speaking and writing assignments, students will learn to analyze human interaction with digital products (such as social media apps, streaming services, and websites) with UX research methodologies. These include usability testing, moderated and unmoderated testing, card sorting, A/B testing, interviews, and focus groups, which may be conducted remotely and/or in-person, per industry norms. Through writing and speaking assignments prepared for various stakeholders, such as UX designers, developers, and business executives, students will deliver research findings and recommendations, inclusive of multimedia data, to inform brands’ digital media design decisions. Three lecture hours per week.
