Recreation & Event Management are about providing purpose; that is, providing people and places with purpose, meaning and a sense of life satisfaction. As a growing field, the Recreation & Event Management minor looks to provide both the theoretical background and the applied experiences necessary to be managers/leaders in the recreation & event management field upon graduation or to continue studies in a graduate degree program.  Students within this minor will participate in and lead a number of applied experiences that will enhance their knowledge and grow their ability to be a great recreational planner or event manager within a community, governmental, non-profit, or private organization.
