SPN 418 Hispano-American Literature II 3 Credit(s) DI V An examination of the literary movements in Latin America from modernism to the present. The course will explore the impact of discrimination, gender roles and class oppression in Latin America, and its interaction with the United States. Readings, lectures and discussions in Spanish. Three lecture hours per week. This course and SPN 417 will satisfy the one-year literature sequence distribution requirement. Elective for Spanish minors. Offered in alternate years. Prerequisite: SPN 202 or equivalent.
