EDU 729 - Reading and Writing in the Classroom3 Credit(s) This course examines research-based theories, practices, and programs for teaching reading and writing in the classroom, with an emphasis on skill areas and comprehension. Designed for experienced teachers, the course will also focus on how reading and writing are used in academic disciplines and the relationship between reading and writing. Requires a 25-hour field experience.
Prerequisite: EDU 725 or matriculation in the M.Ed. Reading or license-only reading programs or permission of program coordinator.
